West Prince Storm Soccer Club
Community Program Update
June 17, 2025
Hi everyone,
Please see below for an update on the upcoming community soccer programs. I apologize for the length of this update but I wanted to give as much information as I could for now. For individual age groups, please scroll below until you see your age group to get an update.
Under 5 Bloomfield Program:
As mentioned previously this program was closed for registrations very early on with the high demand for the available spaces. With the training times having been announced, it has meant a few changes to the list. We are going to send out an email to everyone who was registered to confirm that they are still good to take part or see if they need to switch out. If some have to switch out then it might open up a couple of spots for folks on the waiting list. This email was sent out tonight so we will have the list finalized soon.
Training time at Bloomfield Elementary - every Tuesday beginning July 8 at 9:00 am
Under 5 Hernewood Program:
We are going to host a program at Hernewood for the under 5 age group for those who were not able to get into the Bloomfield program. A registration link is now open and will stay open until June 24 for people to register. We are only taking 20 players total for now, that may increase to 25 when it is all said and done.
Training time at Hernewood - every Wednesday at 5:00 pm and will plan to begin on July 2
Under 7 Community programs (Tignish/Alberton/Bloomfield/O'Leary/Ellerslie):
The Under 7 boys and girls will train together when they practice each week within their community. We are planning to have 3 jamborees to give the kids some games and for these jamborees the hope is have enough kids registered in each community so that they can be separated so that boys will play against each other and girls will play against each other. We could definitely use some more players for the different communities at the following levels….
Tignish u7 boys - fairly good numbers
Tignish u7 girls - fairly good numbers
*** Training will start on Tuesday, June 24 at 4:30 pm and then switch to Tuesday mornings beginning July 8 at 11:00 am (nothing on Canada Day)
Bloomfield u7 girls - registrations full, waiting list only

*** Training time will be Tuesday’s at 5:30 pm at Ellerslie Elementary beginning on June 24
Jamboree dates are as follows:
July 5 at Hernewood - boys & girls division both taking place - starting at 8:30 am
July 23 at Hernewood - under 7 boys only - starting at 4:30 pm
July 30 at Hernewood - under 7 girls only - starting at 4:30 pm
Aug 16 at Hernewood - boys & girls division both taking place - starting at 8:30 am
Under 9 Boys & Girls Community Teams (Tignish/Alberton/O'Leary/Ellerslie):
The Under 9 teams will play a weekly game as they did in 2024. The games will remain on Thursday nights with games starting at 5:30 pm. Games will start on July 3rd and run for 8 weeks. Should a week get rained out due to a torrential rain (we will not be canceling for showers/light rain) or canceled for thunder & lightning, then we will add one week on at the end.
For the Under 9 girls, we are in pretty good shape all around in each community so the registration link is currently de-activated. If anyone is still interested in playing however please reach out to Brian at allainbrian@hotmail.com and we will see if we can fit the players onto the teams.
For the Under 9 boys, we really need more players for Alberton, Ellerslie and O’Leary to fill out the teams. Tignish should be good to get to two teams but still may have room for a couple of more players as well so the registration link will remain open until June 22nd for the Under 9 boys to try and fill out the rosters.
Coaches for the teams that we have so far are as follows….
Ellerslie u9 girls - Colin Dillon
Ellersie u9 boys - Colin Dillon (need players)
*** Ellerslie u9 girls/boys will train weekly at Ellerslie Elementary at 4:30 pm beginning June 24
O’Leary u9 girls team 1 - Jenna Cooke
O’Leary u9 girls team 2 - Janelle O’Brien/Amy Irving
O’Leary u9 boys - (need players/need a coach)
*** O’Leary training times to be determined

Alberton u9 boys - (need players/need a coach)
*** Alberton training times to be determined
Tignish u9 girls team 1 - Angela Arsenault
Tignish u9 girls team 2 - Kerri Anne Corcoran
Tignish u9 boys team 1 - Valene Arsenault
Tignish u9 boys team 2 - Cali Pineau/Jennifer Gallant
*** Training will start on Tuesday, June 24 at 4:30 pm and then switch to Tuesday mornings beginning July 8 at 11:00 am (nothing on Canada Day)
Under 11 Boys & Girls Community Teams:
Our numbers are very low at the under 11 community level with only about a dozen kids registered overall at this point in time.
We had a meeting with the community leaders last week and tried to come up with some ideas, right now the thought would be to see if there is any way that we could get to even 3 teams worth of players at this level and play them on the smaller field on a different night than the Under 9’s. It might have to be co-ed in order to try and get this to happen. We will see if we get any further registrations between now and June 24th and then will see what we might be able to put together.
If you have any questions please email Brian at allainbrian@hotmail.com (please know that it might be a couple of days before I get a chance to respond - between work, coaching 4 teams and trying to get the club fully up and running I am not always able to answer emails on the same day they are sent to me - I thank you for your patience)
Thanks - Brian
