Under 7 Jamboree's Update - Update on Community program/Competitive teams

Jul. 18, 2025

Hi everyone,

We just wanted to send along an update on the Under 7 jamboree's and where we are at.

We had hoped to have a jamboree tomorrow but it looks like Ellerslie will not have enough players (Soap box derby day in that area) and as well, Bloomfield was not going to have enough players to have any teams (O'Leary Potato Blossom festival/parade).

With next weekend being the Prince County exhibition I doubt we would have very good numbers then either so we are going to pivot and try something else.

We are going to host both boys & girls teams on Wednesday, July 30 at Hernewood and then we will go again on Wednesday, August 13 at Hernewood (again this will be both boys & girls on both of these nights).

We are hopeful that by going mid-week and in the evening that we might have better participation from the communities.  For the July 30 event I will need to know from all community programs by Monday the 28th and then I will put out a schedule asap and we will try and make sure each team gets a couple of games on that evening as we will play boys on one field and girls on one field (using the under 9 fields at Hernewood)

To wrap up the year we will try and have a final tournament at Hernewood and we will try for either Saturday the 23 or 30 or if the Wednesday night sessions go over well then we might forget about the Saturday's entirely and go with the 27th of August for the last one.  We will update everyone as we go along.

We will post a full community update for next weeks schedule on the weekend.  As well, our summer students will be calling everyone from under 5 to under 9 over the course of the next week just to touch base, remind anyone of outstanding registrations, confirm if players who have registered are indeed playing as we need to have everything finalized in our registration database for the end of the month for billing purposes with PEI Soccer for insurance coverage.

With regards to the competitive teams, we will also post an update on the weekend but for now - please take note of the following:

Under 9 travel teams - they will be attending the RC United U9 jamboree on Saturday, August 9

Under 11 division 2 & division 3 teams - there are no games officially scheduled past July 26 however for the first couple of weekends in August some of the teams may have games if they are not involved in the tournaments that are going on.

Under 13 girls/boys first division teams - the playoff dates are on the PEI soccer website, please go to the respective division on their website and then go to league games and scroll to the bottom and you will see the potential dates.  Game locations will depend on final standings.  The times for the medal games will be determined as we get closer to the end, right now all of the games for gold/bronze are scheduled for 8 am but that will change

Under 18 girls first division & premier division - the playoff dates are on the PEI soccer website, please go to the respective division and then go to league games and scroll to the bottom and you will see the potential dates.  Game locations will depend on final standings.

Senior men & women - the playoff dates are on the PEI soccer website, please go to the respective division and then go to league games and scroll to the bottom and you will see the potential dates.  Game locations will depend on final standings.

I apologize for the short notice with regards to tomorrow and the Under 7 jamboree, we had hoped that we could make it work but the weekends have proven to be extremely busy so far in July.

Thank you,

Brian
