West Prince Soccer Club Update - May 22
We will try and give as much information as we can to help everyone kick off the season as some teams will be starting this week for their game schedule.
Under 11 boys - we will have one team for the under 11 boys age group, it will be a combined under 9 and under 11 age group and they will be playing in the White division. Games will be on either Friday or Saturday for the first 3 weeks of the season (players and parents should be prepared to start play on either May 27 or 28 for their first game, schedule to be determined) and then the game night will switch to Tuesday night beginning the week of June 14.
Next practice on Wednesday, May 25th at 6:00 pm at Hernewood (need everyone registered/paid for that night)
First game on Friday, May 27th - to be confirmed for game, location and time
Under 13 boys - we will have one team for the under 13 boys age group, we will need to call up a couple of under 11 players most likely each game we will definitely have a team there. Games will be starting on May 26th and the normal game night will be on Thursday nights for this team.
Next practice on - Tuesday, May 24th at 5:30 pm at Hernewood (need everyone registered/paid for that night)
First game on Thursday, May 26th at Hernewood at 6:30 pm vs. Summerside
Under 15 boys - we could still use a couple of more players for the under 15 boys age group, we will call up from under 13 when we can but we definitely need to get a couple of more players if at all possible. The normal game night will be Tuesday night for the team however there will be a couple of Friday night games. For next week there is no game for the team on Tuesday but they will be hosting a game on Friday, May 27th.

Senior Men - we will have one Senior men’s team and they will be playing in Division 2. The team will have their first game on Sunday, May 29 at 4 pm on the Cornwall turf. (need everyone registered/paid before that night)
Under 13 girls - we will have one team for the under 13 girls age group, it will be a combined under 11 and under 13 team, they will be playing in the second division and their league game will be Monday night with one Friday night game, their first game will be this Friday coming, May 27th at 7 pm at Hernewood.
Next practice on Tuesday, May 24th at 6:00 pm at Hernewood (need everyone registered/paid for that night)
First game on Friday, May 27th at 7:00 pm at Hernewood vs. Eastern Eagles
Under 15 girls - we will have one team at this level and they will be playing in the premier division. Their first game will be at home on Thursday, May 26 and that will be their normal playing night.
Final tryout will be on Monday, May 23rd at Hernewood from 5:30 to 6:45 pm (final team list will be posted after this session)
First game will be on Thursday, May 26th at 6:30 pm at Hernewood vs.Summerside (need everyone registered/paid before that night)
Under 18 girls - we will have one team at this level and they will be playing in the premier division. The team was supposed to play this Tuesday for their first game but Summerside is not available to play that night now. We will just practice on Wednesday this week at 6:00 pm and their first game will be at home on Tuesday, May 31 at 6:30 pm.
We had too many players for one team but not enough for two teams unfortunately. I have agonized for weeks now over how many players to keep and unfortunately to try and make sure that I can get everyone that I did keep enough playing time, I have decided on 19 players for this summer. Thank you to all the girls who tried out, these decisions are the absolute worst to make as a coach as I truly do enjoy coaching every player who comes out. Below is the team list for this summer:

Next practice will be on Wednesday, May 25 at 6:00 pm at Hernewood
Senior women - we will have two senior women’s teams again this summer. Both teams will be playing in the first division. One team will go by the name West Prince Storm and the other team will go by the name Western Wind on our website. Both teams will start on Monday, May 30 with the Storm playing at home and the Wind playing at Winsloe, both games at 7:00 pm (need everyone registered/paid before that night)
As pretty much all of our teams have been finalized for the summer with the exception of the Under 15 girls premier, we need people to pass in their registration money if they have not already done so. This can be sent via e-transfer to westprincestorm@gmail.com and please use the password soccer for the security question. For anyone who unfortunately may not have made the under 18 girls premier or does not make the under 15 girls premier, if you have already passed in your $200 we will make arrangements to get that money refunded to you.
