West Prince Storm Soccer Club - Competitive Team Update - May 11
Hi everyone,
Please take note of the following dates and times for upcoming sessions this week:
Monday, May 13
5:30 to 6:30 pm for Under 11 girls (and Under 9's who are training) - this will most likely be outdoors at Hernewood and if that is the case it will take place on the Under 11 field to your right as you are entering Hernewood
5:30 to 6:45 pm for Under 11 boys (and Under 9's who are trying out) - this will most likely be outdoors at Hernewood and if that is the case it will take place on the Under 13 field in behind the school as they have the same size goals as the Under 11 field.
*** If there are a couple of parents who could help with sizing at the end of the under 11 sessions for both of these groups that would be greatly appreciated as we need to get an order put together asap in order to hopefully get them in as quickly as possible. Again, players may have to make do with the numbers that they get for a jersey number.
6:30 to 7:45 pm for Under 15/Under 18 girls - this will most likely be outdoors at Hernewood and if that is the case it will take place on the regulation sized field inside the track in behind the school. This will likely be the final tryout for this group as the premier team will be starting on May 21 for their league and the first division u18 team will be starting on the 29th for their first game
Tuesday, May 14
6:00 to 7:00 pm for Under 13 girls - this will be outdoors at Hernewood and it will take place on the Under 13 field in behind the school. I did do some sizing at the end of the last practice but would like to make sure that every player is good with what they marked down so if there are a couple of parents who could help me out to re-confirm at the end of the session that would be greatly appreciated
6:30 to 7:45 pm for Under 15/18 Boys - we are going to make a final effort to get a team together for this age. We are getting closer but still need a few players to register to make it happen. The session will be outside on the regulation field inside the track
The plan from PEI Soccer at the moment is to have the leagues begin on the following dates:
Under 11 girls & boys - games begin on the weekend of May 31/June 1 and they will play on the next few weekends for June before switching to weeknight games for July and August
Under 13 boys and girls - games begin the week of May 27
Under 18 girls premier - games begin May 21
Under 18 girls & boys first division (if we can get a boys team) - games begin the week of May 27
Senior men - games begin May 26
Senior women - games begin May 27
There will be a bit of a further update going out tomorrow or Monday on some of the competitive teams as well as an update on how registrations are coming along at the u5/7/9/11 age groups for the community programs.
