West Prince Storm Soccer Club - Team Update - May 19, 2024
Hi everyone,
Please find your team below and take note of any upcoming games, practices, etc.. for the competitive teams within the club.
*** All community programs will not begin until closer to the end of the school year, much more detail to follow on the community in the next week or so.
Under 11 Boys COMPETITIVE (under 9 and u11 trying out)
Final tryout will be tomorrow, Monday - May 20 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Please go to the Under 13 field when you arrive at the field (the one that runs parallel to Highway 2 at Hernewood). The two team lists will be posted later this week. First games for the two teams will be on either May 31 or June 1, details to be confirmed.
Under 11 Girls COMPETITIVE
Next practice will be tomorrow, Monday - May 20 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Please go to the Under 11 field when you arrive. This practice is for the Under 11 team and the under 9’s who have been selected to train with this group.
Under 13 Boys Second Division (playing out of Evangeline)
Schedules are being drafted in the next day or two. The team will be playing on Monday nights, it looks like it could be a 12 team league so if that is the case you would play everyone once for an 11 game season.
Under 13 Girls First Division
Next practice will be Tuesday - May 21 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Please go to the Under 13 field when you arrive. The team will have an exhibition game on Saturday at 1:30 pm at Hernewood as well and their first league game will be on May 30th - it will be a home game, most likely vs. Summerside
Under 18 Girls First Division
Next practice will be tomorrow - May 20 from 6:30 to 7:45 pm. Please go to the track field when you arrive. The team will have their first game on Wednesday, May 29 at Hernewood at 6:30 pm
Under 18 Girls Premier
Next practice will be tomorrow - May 20 from 6:30 to 7:45 pm. Please go to the track field when you arrive. The team will have their first game on Tuesday, May 21 at the Summerside Turf field at 7:15 pm on that night.
Under 18 Boys First Division
Next practice will be Tuesday - May 21 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Hernewood. Please go to the track field when you arrive. We do still need a couple of more players to register to ensure that we would have enough players to comfortably get thru the summer.
Senior Women 1st Division:
The team will have their first game on Monday, May 27 at Hernewood at 7:00 pm. We believe we have had 20 players register for this team. Amanda Gallant has taken on the role of the team contact as well as team co-ordinator, she is back this week and will be in touch with everyone as the week goes along. This team will be playing in the top competitive league for the Island (basically premier division) which will include some high level teams with players who currently play or have played varsity soccer before. In the meantime, while you wait to hear from Amanda if you feel that you are not interested in playing at this level of play, please let us know asap.

Senior Women 3rd Division:
The team will have their first game on Monday, May 27 and it will be away at the Central Queen’s Complex vs. the Central Queen’s Clippers at 7:00 pm. This team also has a full roster so anyone else looking to join or who may not end up playing on the 1st division roster will unfortunately have to be put on a waiting list for the time being.
Senior Men 2nd Division:
The team will most likely start playing on Sunday, May 26 - date, time and location to be determined.
