Community Update - June 30
Please see below for a full update on the under 5, under 7, under 9 and under 11 programs for the summer. There is a lot of information to take in so please read it over carefully and let Brian know if there are any errors (ie: players on the wrong team/program, players missing, etc..). There are still a few things to firm up but we are getting close to being ready to start. There will be a follow up to this update very shortly as well with the under 9 schedule of games and potentially any updated rosters if we have to adjust due to players changing their mind on playing this summer. We have some question marks beside a few players, please email Brian at allainbrian@hotmail to confirm if those players are indeed playing this summer.
Under 5 boys & girls - Bloomfield program only:
The program will be starting on Tuesday, July 2 at Bloomfield Elementary school. Practices will be every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9:00 am to 9:45 am. Under 7 boys & girls - Programs in Tignish, Alberton, Bloomfield, O’Leary and Ellerslie.
For the weekly practices in each of the above communities the boys and girls in each program will be training together but when we do the jamborees we will be having all of the girls playing together on their own team ie: alberton girls team, Ellerslie girls team, etc.. and then all of the boys playing together on their own team, ie: alberton boys team, Ellerslie boys team, etc.. We are planning on having jamborees on July 27 and August 24 at Hernewood Intermediate school at this point in time after meeting with the local recreation directors yesterday.
TIGNISH Program - practices will be held on Wednesdays for the under 7 boys and girls. Tignish is going to offer two times for players to come out and practice, that being either Wednesday morning at 9 am for under 7 or if they can’t make the morning session they will offer a combined session for all ages (u7/u9/u11) at 6 pm on Wednesday evenings. The start date for practices will be July 10 for the under 7 program and this will be for both boys & girls. Team lists will be posted shortly for when the under 7 jamborees take place. ALBERTON Program - practices will be held on Wednesdays from 5:15 to 6:15 pm for the under 7 boys and girls. The start date for practices will be Wednesday, July 3. ELLERSLIE program - practices will be held every Wednesday at 4:30 pm. Colin Dillon will be running these sessions for the practices. The start date for the program will be on Wednesday, July 3. Under 9 boys & girls - Programs in Tignish, Alberton, O’Leary and Ellerslie.
For the Under 9 programs we will have the boys and girls from each community train together for their weekly practice but it will be separate boys and girls teams playing for their weekly games.
TIGNISH program - practices will be held on Wednesdays for the under 9 boys and girls. Tignish is going to offer two times for players to come out and practice, that being either Wednesday morning at 10 am for under 9’s or if they can’t make the morning session they will offer a combined session for all ages (u7/u9/u11) at 6 pm on Wednesday evenings. The start date for practices will be July 10 with first games scheduled to start on July 11 at Hernewood with a scheduled to be released this week.

Games for the under 9 league will be starting on Thursday, July 11 and every Thursday after that. Schedule to be released soon.
UNDER 11 BOYS & GIRLS:
We did not get as many registrations as we would have liked. We did end up with enough registrations from the Ellerslie and Evangeline area to put that group together as one team and then we will combine all of the players from Tignish, Alberton and O’Leary to form a second team. The Ellerslie/Evangeline team will train as a full team. The combined Tignish, Alberton and O’Leary team will see their individual players train with the under 9 teams from their communities but then play together for their scheduled games.
