West Prince Soccer - Under 9 games postponed to Saturday
Hi everyone,
Our unfortunate luck with the weather continues, first it is 3 days with a heat warning this week and now a rainfall warning for today - the current forecast is still calling for anywhere from 15 to 25 mm of rain today and possibly up to 40 in the heaviest of showers. As well, they are saying a risk of thundershowers now for this afternoon/evening. With that being the case we are going to postpone the under 9 games to Saturday instead as it would not be very nice if we have one of these showers that they are talking about with up to 20 mm in an hour alone or a thundershower that would mean that everyone would have to leave the field immediately for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Just a few notes as well with regards to the first games on Saturday....
a) I believe I made a mistake on the last update that I had sent out on the 9th and I switched the numbers by mistake for team 1 and team 2 for the under 9 girls for O'Leary from what we sent out around the 1st of July. Going forward we will just leave it as what we sent out on July 9 - Jenna's team is listed as team 1 on the schedule going forward and Dylynn's team is listed as team 2 - that way everyone should know exactly what time they will be playing.
b) If some teams still have not received their jerseys for Saturday, please don't stop that from letting you come to the field. We have lots of of the training shirts for practices so if a team does not have a set of jerseys we can outfit you with those for the first game.
The rescheduled times for Saturday are as follows:
Boys:
Field 1 - 9:00 am - Alberton vs. O’Leary
Field 1 - 10:00 am - Ellerslie 1 vs. Tignish 1
Field 1 - 11:00 am - Ellerslie 2 vs. Tignish 2
Girls:
Field 2 - 9:00 am - Alberton vs. Ellerslie
Field 2 - 10:00 am - Tignish 1 vs. O’Leary 1
Field 2 - 11:00 am - Tignish 2 vs. O’Leary 2
I apologize as I had planned to have the under 9 schedule finalized yesterday but it might actually be tomorrow night by the time I get it updated to the website, sorry about that.
