2026 Competitive team update

Competitive Soccer Programs:

Under 11 Boys & Girls (born in 2015 & 2016):

We have tried to operate a community Under 11 program these past 2 summers without much success.  For 2026 if there are any under 11 boys and girls who are looking to play soccer, they will have to try out for one of the competitive teams as we will not be operating a community based league.  These teams usually practice once per week and then play one game per week.  The league games are played on either Friday evening or Saturday earlier in the day with home games taking place at Hernewood while away games are usually in Summerside, Kensington, Hunter River and occasionally Charlottetown area.

The hope is to have at least 2 girls and 2 boys teams and if we have the numbers to get to 3 teams in both then we would love to do so.  There are 3 divisions of play for the Under 11 age group on PEI so we should be able to find the proper competitive level for each player after we have a chance to evaluate all of the players who come out.

Under 13 Boys & Girls (born in 2013 & 2014):

We had a very successful season in 2025 for both the under 13 boys and under 13 girls and the hope is to have a team again for both in 2026.  These teams usually train once a week and play once a week.  Home games are at Hernewood, away games could be across the Island.  The leagues usually begin around late May so you are looking at about a half dozen away games as well as possibly a tournament or two in terms of travel outside of West Prince.

Under 15 Boys & Girls (born in 2011 & 2012):

We have struggled to get an under 15 team on either the boys or girls side the last couple of seasons, hopefully this will change for 2026.  If it did then you would be looking at pretty much the same sort of time commitment as that of the Under 11 and Under 13 competitive teams.

Under 18 Boys & Girls (born in 2008, 2009 & 2010):

We definitely should have an under 18 girls team as we had two teams last summer.  It remains to be seen whether we can get two under 18 teams as we have had in the past, whether we can get an under 18 girls and an under 15 girls, etc..   We did not have an under 18 boys last summer but would certainly be willing to look at entering a team in the league if there was enough interest out there.

Senior Men & Women (born in 2007 or earlier):

The hope is to have two senior women's teams again in 2026 as well as a Senior men's team as we have had the last several season.

2025 was the most successful season in club history withe following highlights:

Under 13 boys first division Provincial Champions

Under 13 girls first division Silver medalists

Under 18 girls premier division Provincial Champions

Under 18 girls first division Silver medalists

Senior women 2nd division Provincial Champions

Senior women 3rd division Provincial Champions

Under 11 girls division 2 semi-finalists in two tournaments

Under 11 boys division 2 champions at Central Queen's tournament

Under 11 boys division 3 semi-finalists at the Sherwood tournament

Under 11 girls division 3 champions at two tournaments
